Cheap Diazepam Intensol (5 mg/mL) has been utilized extensively as a rescue medication for seizures, generally given buccally. I have not yet seen evidence for the superiority of Valtoco vs Diazepam Intensol.
A colleague wrote: Most sensible strategy - and evidence based - is to use the vials of midazolam (10 mg/2 mL) and prepare syringe in advance with correct dose - supposed to be stable for reasonable time - keep in fridge - vial is cheap and atomizers are really cheap
