Long term sequelae
5 weeks post-injury
2 months post-injury
Discharged after 3 1/2 months. He acquired iatrogenic staphylococcus epidermidis meningitis which was resistant to therapy. He is dependent on a gastrostomy for feeding. He has cortical visual impairment. His motor activity is profoundly impaired. He has spastic quadriparesis. There is profound cognitive handicap.
